Requim Arts
Art Director - Artist
Requim is a first gen multi-talented artist, her work filled with Mexican-American iconography. Tangling with concepts related to cultural values held by family. Having conversations on death and memory, she discovers different methods to tell her story. Through textures, visual representation, and found objects. Requim sees the trace of life and stories left within objects. Her works develope through time, taking different shapes and forms. Documenting its original shape and the different phases it goes through time.
As Art Director of Elevated Barbershop Collective, Requim handles the artwork in the space. Along with managing and approving upcoming events/workshops, working with a variety of artists and collectives. Her goal is the chance to promote upcoming artists, and keep connecting the community. Requim is always looking for the opportunity to collaborate or help out in any manner.
