Giovanni Scott
Giovanni Scott, a barber with 15+ years’ experience, teaches a focused class on shears: steel types, grind angles, blade geometry, and maintenance. He demonstrates how each affects cut quality and client comfort.
Audience get educated on choosing shears for techniques, basic sharpening, and safe handling. Drills reinforce sectioning, finger placement, and blending that depend on precise shear use. The course pairs technical detail with practical tips for extending tool life and improving consistent results.

“Sensations”, is a group exhibtion, curated by a student organization, DAC.
Depaul Artist Collective Mission:
Serving the students and the organizations of DePaul University through socially responsible leadership in resonance with the Vincentian values for inspiration, innovation, diversity and education through the interdisciplinary lens of art in search of a dialogue through the vast range of human experience and expression.
Theme: An exhibition meant to showcase a broad range of works that encourage viewers to feel both literally and figuratively. This includes work across all mediums that utilizes texture, experimentation, mark making, physical processes, subject matter, and other impressionable artistic elements.

Art Exhibition
Day 1 — Art Exhibition opened with a curated art focused on anime and illustrations. Walls and panels showcased a wide range of styles, from traditional pieces to contemporary digital works. Character studies, fan art re-imagining, original anime-style concepts, and mixed-media installations provided attendees with both nostalgia and fresh interpretations.
The space encouraged close viewing and interaction, with several artists present to discuss process, influences, and techniques. Lighting and layout emphasized color and line work, creating an immersive gallery feel that appealed to collectors, students, and casual fans alike.
Open Mic Night
Day 2 — Open Mic & Live Music The second day featured an open mic format with a lineup of opening musicians. Performances ranged from acoustic sets and electronic pieces to energetic band showcases, each blending musical styles that complemented the performers aesthetic—melodic, emotive, and experimental. Emerging artists shared original songs and anime-themed covers, while the open mic segments allowed audience members to participate. Sound and stage management kept transitions smooth, and the atmosphere balanced intimate listening with lively crowd engagement.
Fashion Show
Day 3 — Casa de Anime Fashion Show
The final day was the Fashion Show, a full production highlighting designers, models, makeup artists, hairstylists, and drag performers. who translate anime aesthetics into wearable fashion. The runway presented collections that drew on character silhouettes, bold color palettes, exaggerated proportions, and intricate detailing—elements familiar to anime fans but adapted for real-world wear.
Makeup looks ranged from subtle enhancements to stylized, character-driven designs; hairstyling included avant-garde structures and anime-influenced colors. Models brought the garments to life with choreographed walks and thematic staging. Production elements—lighting, music selection, and set design—were synchronized to reinforce each designer’s concept and overall narrative flow.
The event provided exposure for artists and designers, performance opportunities for musicians, and an engaging experience for attendees seeking both spectacle and thoughtful artistic expression.
Fashion Show
Casa de Anime unfolded over three consecutive days, each one distinct but united by a celebration of illustrations, highlighting Anime, and inspired creativity.
