Davitrious

The creativity with my work reflects as a Barber and Multitalented artist. Expressing my truth, growing up as a Latino queer, in Chicago with an alternative style. In Barbershops where toxic masculinity was a constant, and the lack of support for self expression was hard. My goal is for my people to experience freedom, individuality and self love. 

Davitrious was born and raised in Chicago Illinois and the city became his playground ever since. As a teenager he explored his sense of fashion and creativity throughout the city visiting gallery shows, raves, and local fashion shows. He started to show an interest in hair during the scene kid era, creating unique hairstyles, and hair dyes that a lot of his friends weren’t allowed to have nor did they feel comfortable going to a local shop or salon to ask for it without being judged.

After graduating school / What school and what year? Davitrious realized that more was missing and his craft so he decided to start his clothing brand named  “L8” where he’s worked with numerous performers, dancers, drag queens, and models. His brand likes to focus mainly on upcycling items and adding his own personal edge and uniqueness to his pieces. He successfully executes fashion shows, and is a designer who likes to collaborate with other local designers in the city.
